The reason why I've been neglecting to share the script is because some content is unclear to me. Nothing is in the right place and so my goal by the end of this month is to figure that out. My play is different from most, almost unrealistic but that's just the playwright's opinion. I shall see what can be done.

I understand your frustration Lore because I have a similar problem. Sometimes you have to stop trying to have your script be perfect and just let your words flow by themselves. Elber suggested I think "simple" when writing my script, so I suggest the same to you. Don't complicate things because your play may not feel right. I'm pretty sure it's never going to feel right, you just have to go with your gut and keep it simple.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be a good idea to put just bits and pieces out for others to read. I'm not saying to do this so we know what you are doing, but also to have possible feedback even if it is for that one small bit. It could really help you with the writing. I like that you are really putting your opinions out there and really claiming your script to be your own. It sounds really exciting because of your description of it being really "unrealistic".
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lucy. I too have been trying to avoid putting my song lyrics out there to the public because mostly I was scared of what they wold say. I didnt want to hear any negative comments such as it sucks. But as Lucy said it could really help with your writing. Feedback no mater the type is feedback that you can feed off of and perfect your writing. Good luck.
